J. Mickey Merguerian - M.Sc.
Mickey has started assisting geologic consultations in 2003. With a natural gravitation to applied science he began working with Deep Foundation contractors in NYC in Cost Management / Project Controls. He began a career in Project Controls Management, continuing his education in civil construction project management and GAAP executive cost accounting.
Mickey's primary focus became cost control and understanding the interaction between the qualitative work and the quantitative profit (or loss). He wanted to understand the parameters that contributed to a project's health. What the weighting of each dataset had on any given project or activity. He wanted to know how to best protect his client from risks, and foster additional benefits. He began writing models on project staffing and roles and responsibilities.
He has coupled his experience with contracts and project controls to his innate passion with Geology to bring forth Dukelabs DSC Inc.
Dr. Charles Merguerian - PhD
Dr. Merguerian has gathered over 45 years of experience in traditional field geologic mapping and structural analysis of complexly deformed crystalline terrains, plutonic- and volcanic districts, and areas underlain by sedimentary- and glacial strata.
His chief geotechnical interests encompass subsurface assessment of TBM and drill and blast tunnels and deep shafts, drilled shafts and differing site condition claims. Merguerian has specialized in analysis of the intrinsic geological factors controlling TBM excavation rates in high-grade crystalline terranes.
His allied interests lie in computer analysis of geologic processes and digital image processing. He has performed pure- and applied research and published over 200 maps and technical reports from such widely separated areas as NY (NYC), NJ, CT, MA, CA, and NV.
